Join Margo for a six-week quilting\/sewing course and learn the technique of using templates! You can choose between two pattern options for creating a lap quilt. You will also learn how to quilt your finished product.<\/p>\n

Skill level: Beginner-Intermediate \/ Please note: This class is for adult learners only.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the unfortunate event that the local Saint John Zone must \u2018move back\u2019 to stricter social distancing policies and classes must be cancelled, participants will be refunded for the remaining classes.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\n\u2022 Half yard (metre) of dark pink
\n\u2022 1 \u00bd yard (metre) of white
\n\u2022 2 yards (metres) of background
\n\u2022 \u00bd yard (metre) of binding fabric
\n\u2022 3 \u00bd yard (metre) of backing fabric
\n\u2022 Quilt batting (cotton\/poly blend)
\n\u2022 Thread<\/p>\n

\n\u2022 1\/4 yard (0.30m) of 6 different prints
\n\u2022 3\/8 yard (0.4m) of 5 different prints
\n\u2022 4 yards (metres) of backing fabric
\n\u2022 Quilt batting (cotton\/poly blend)
\n\u2022 Thread<\/p>\n

There is also the option of bringing a project of your choice, either a sewing or quilting project.<\/p>\n

Other items you will need to bring:
\n\u2022 portable sewing machine
\n\u2022 pins\/ safety pins
\n\u2022 seam ripper
\n\u2022 shears
\n\u2022 Optional: rotary cutter and mat<\/p>\n

About the Instructor:<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Margo has over thirty-five\u00a0years of sewing experience and has an Education degree in Home Economics from the University of New Brunswick, Class of 1991. She has taught sewing to middle school students as well as youth and adult sewing courses for the City of Saint John Recreation Department for numerous years.
